Governance & Auditing

The Nourish to Flourish project is operated and managed by the Chinmaya Seva Trust ( IT NO: 1174/2000/PMB), a non-profit organization and a public benefit organization. The Trust has 6 Trustees of different backgrounds ensuring the responsible and sustainable operation of the initiative.

The activities of the Nourish to Flourish project have been recognized by the government, and its activities fall under the ambit of a section 18A accreditation granted by the South African Revenue Services. Donations received may, therefore by submitted for tax deductions

In addition, all financial activities of the Nourish to Flourish initiative are audited by PKF auditors on an annual basis, and annual statements of the Trust have been audited with 0 matters of concern raised

The organization operates in a responsible manner, ensuring compliance to the relevant acts and bylaws. This includes the design and operation of an industrial cooking facility aligned with the relevant SANS codes, R638 Food regulations and Food Safety Management system principles. The operation of the cooking is managed by a multidisciplinary team including the relevant legal appointments
